CURRENT NEWS

🐉 Dragonfly Class Routines

Here is some useful information about our regular routines in Dragonfly Class.

🏃 PE and Swimming

Our PE days are Tuesday and Friday. Children may bring their PE kit to school at the beginning of the week and leave it here. Kits will be sent home at the end of each half term to be washed.

Swimming will take place on Tuesdays when the school pool is open. Families will be informed when swimming sessions are due to begin and given any additional information in advance.

Please ensure that all PE and swimming items are clearly labelled with your child’s name.

📚 Homework

Homework will be set every Friday and should be returned by the following Friday. Children are expected to make a good attempt at completing their homework in order to take part in Golden Time on Friday afternoon.

Homework will be pitched at an appropriate level for each child. The most important thing is that everyone gives it a go and does their best.

✏️ Pencil Cases

Children are welcome to bring their own pencil case to school. Please ensure that it is reasonably sized and does not contain any extravagant or distracting items, as desk space is limited.

🌊 Our First Topic

Our first topic will be River Systems and the Water Cycle. The children will take part in a range of interesting activities as they explore how rivers are formed and learn about the journey of water through its natural cycle.

We look forward to a happy, exciting and successful year in Dragonfly Class!
