Dear Parents & Carers
Welcome to October! The month of crispy, crunchy leaves, hot chocolate and bright sunny days. Just a reminder to make sure everything is named! Stikins labels (www.stikins.co.uk) are affordable and school raises money for every pack sold. It doesn’t really matter, but please make sure everything has your child’s name on it!
Kind regards
Mr McCadden
School & club collection
A friendly reminder that school finishes at 3.15pm and after school clubs finish promptly at 4.00pm, when you should collect your child please.
If a club is cancelled, we will communicate this in a message to you on ClassDojo so please ensure you have the notifications turned on so that they are not missed. We do have to cancel clubs at short notice and it is the only manageable way to communicate this to parents.
If you are running late, always let the office know please.
Contact Details
If you have changed your address, phone number or email and have not told us, please make sure we have the correct details for you. It is vitally important that we have the correct emergency contacts for you, just in case we need it.
Unfortunately, office staff cannot get hold of parents more and more often when we need to because we do not have an up to date number.
Parents Evening
Parents evenings are back again and will take place during the last week of this half term: Tuesday 21st and Thursday 23rd October between 3.30pm and 6.00pm on Tuesday and 3.30pm and 5.00pm on Thursday.
Bookings will be open through the online
booking system from Monday 13th October at 4.00pm.
Please keep an eye open for the booking instructions and link which will be emailed to you on Monday next week. The office is happy to help if needed.
Book Fair & Second hand Uniform
Our book fair will be in the hall during the two parents’ evenings. All purchases from the book fair give us a percentage back from the company to re-stock come of our aging library books. It’s a complete Win-Win!
Please note that we will again not be taking cash this year – all payments to be by card please.
We will also be holding a second-hand uniform sale
alongside the book fair this year. If you have any good condition second hand uniform that you would like to donate then please drop it in to the office. Please make sure it is clean!
School Photographs
Our school photographer will be taking our individual photographs in the morning of Friday 14th November.
Please make sure your child has their school jumper on and that they arrive on time with their best smiles.
Flu Nasal Spray
Just a reminder to sign up for your child to get their annual flu nasal spray. All the details and sign up link can be found in the email sent to parents on 22nd September.
Link to Flu Vaccination Consent Form RegistrationThere is also a Q&A session for parents on Wednesday 15th October at 11.00 which is a chance for you to ask any questions you have about the online system or the vaccination itself. Please see the information sent out by Dojo on 7th October.
The nasal spray vaccinations will take place on Monday 3rd November which is the Monday we return after half term.
Harvest
Thank you all for your brilliant donations to our harvest festival on Friday of last week.
I am delighted to say that over 250 items were taken to Chichester Food bank so thank you so much for your generous donations. All of the items will go towards helping struggling families in our local area.
We really hope that you enjoyed our Fantastic Friday presentations as much as we did!
AND FINALLY...
